Update June 2025: Since I created my solo calendar project in January to fill a void, the Jenkintown Community Alliance has launched a similar feature for borough events on their website at https://www.jenkintown.net/index.php/calendar-of-events/. Therefore, the JenkintownLive calendar will no longer be updated. Thanks for your interest over the past six months!

JenkintownLive.com is an experimental project by Anne Brennan. I hope it will connect people with community events — and live music in particular — they might not otherwise know about due to the hit-or-miss nature of social media feeds.
Like browsing a library shelf and finding an unexpected book, scanning this streamlined calendar might lead you to a new experience or local venue.
For now, listings are limited to public entertainment or educational events within Jenkintown Borough and in very close proximity — think Glenside and Rockledge.
I will add events I become aware of through my own networks, but I invite event organizers/hosts to send me their upcoming shows for consideration. Every listing requires a link to an email contact or venue website so the public can locate the primary information source and verify event details.
